Jia-Ming Ying is an assistant professor in the Center for General Education, Taipei Medical University. His research expertise is in the field of the history of mathematics in East Asia. In particular, he has published several articles about the develpment of mathematics, and the interaction between mathematicians and the society, in late Choson period of Korea (17th - 19th century). He also does research in the field of mathematics education, especially about the application of history in mathematics teaching and learning.
